The Unknown Cowboy

He's got the saddle, the lasso, the spurs, the chaps, the boots, and the cowboy hat. This cowboy is ready to ride the range or take guests on a trail ride at a ranch. He could be on the bare prairie or in northern Saskatchewan where the trees are abundant. He could be ready to take an overnight trip in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta where the grizzly bears roam or he could be at a remote northern lake in British columbia.
He could be ready to face the spring break-up of the rivers or be ready to brave the heat of the bald prairie in summer. Maybe it is autumn and he is looking forward to the cooler temperatures and colours of gold and red as he rides or maybe he is ready to take a cold winter ride as the snow is ready to fall.
We don't know where he is going or what he has planned for the day, the week, or the year. All we know is that he has the saddle, the lasso, the spurs, the chaps, the boots, and the cowboy hat. We don't know where he is from, what his story is, or even his name...for he is a lone cowboy...the unknown cowboy.
