Seasonal Photography
By: Author: J Bakken
Each season holds its own beauty. Whether it is spring, summer, fall, or
winter, each season is unique and every single season is different.
Capturing the outdoor beauty and natural wonder of each season is both fun
and easy.
There is something about spring that is inviting and awakening to the human
spirit. The newness and promise of this season brings hope. Capturing
photographs of the fresh buds on a tree or a new baby animal born on the
farm are priceless treasures.
There is something about summer that calls us to go on a family vacation and
take time off from work and school to explore the great outdoors. Capturing
photographs of flowers in full bloom or a family member water skiing for the
first time are priceless treasures.
There is something about autumn that brings us back into a routine and gets
us organized again. Capturing the reds, yellows, and oranges of the season
as the leaves change colour and the temperatures cool is a gift only nature
can give us.
There is something about winter that warms our spirit even though the
temperatures dip outside. We are brought together to enjoy both indoor and
outdoor activities and by the spririt of Christmas. Capturing photographs of
snowmen and hoar frost bring a smile to our faces.
Every season gives us the opportunity to take award winning photographs.
They can be used for calendars, cards, brochures, and much more, or simply
for the enjoyment of the photographer.
Seasonal photography is an opportunity to capture digital and print images
of nature as it is in a new cycle of growth, to be outdoors in the fresh
air, and to enjoy the promise of the seasons to come.
Seasonal photography is synonymous with different colours and stages of
growth, and sometimes all we need is to look at the world, whether it is a
budding flower or a falling leaf, with new eyes and we see everything as if
it were the first time and we feel a sense of peace and promise.
