Photography at Fairmont Hot Springs
By: Author: J Bakken

The world is full of beautiful places to photograph, but one of my favorite places to photograph in British Columbia is Fairmont Hot Springs in the southeast part of the province. The opportunities are endless for the avid photographer: mountains, lakes, rivers, flowers, animals, and much more. Every season holds its own beauty and there are numerous opportunities for capturing some great photos in spring, summer, fall, or winter.
Capturing the flora and fauna is a favorite among nature enthusiasts. There are many wildflowers one can take pictures of when hiking, and you never know when you will come into the vicinity of a herd of bighorn sheep to snap a photo of if you are a safe distance away.
Fairmont Hot Springs is well known for its year round outdoor activity opportunities. For example, you can record some great shots while white water rafting, fishing, hiking, skiing, biking, snowmobiling, and much more. Taking action shots in this beautiful BC playground is guaranteed to yield some incredible photographs.
One of my favorite places near Fairmont Hot Springs to take photographs of is along the Hoodoos. A nice little hike to the top of the hoodoos where the panoramic view is breathtaking can ensure some great photos. The golf courses in town also provide some great scenery for photography. Whether you are golfing Mountainside, Riverside, or even the Par 3, you can get some incredible photographs.
Taking photographs of an area such as Fairmont Hot Springs makes one want to visit it again, so the pictures can easily be used in marketing. Areas where they could be used are billboards, brochures, travel magazines, and much more.
It is easy and enjoyable to take photographs of our favorite places, so the next time you visit a new locale or one of your favorites, be sure to stop and capture the beauty of the place with your camera. Then, you can revisit it again and again each time you look at the photographs.
