Photographing Trees
By: Author: J Bakken
Trees are a popular natural wonder to photograph. The key to capturing their
beauty is being close enough to catch the glorious colours and detail. Each
leaf is unique.
Tree photographs can include fresh buds in the spring, apple trees
blossoming in the summer, red, orange, and golden maples in autumn, and
brilliant evergreens in the winter. The colours in tree pictures range from
red to green and include just about every colour in between, and they all
hold their own beauty.
Tree photographs can also include animals and they are popular with nature
enthusiasts. Catching a red baby fox beside a tree in the springtime can be
an award winning photograph.
Tree photography including water can feature trees being reflected in a
lake, trees alongside a flowing river, or simply pussywillows by a slough.
Tree photography often includes birds, as well. Catching a rare snapshot of
an eagle atop a tree or a nest with a mother feeding its young in a tree are
popular shots.
Tree photography is an enjoyable past-time that captures the beauty of
nature and can be done anywhere, on a hiking trail or in your own backyard.
The variety of trees to photograph is endless and each one holds its own
uniqueness.
