Photographing Flowers
By: Author: J Bakken
Flowers are a popular natural wonder to photograph. The key to capturing
their beauty is being close enough to catch the glorious colours and detail.
Floral photographs can include wild flowers, garden or backyard flowers, or
floral arrangements from a florist. The colours in floral pictures range
from pink, yellow, red, and every colour in between, and they all hold their
own beauty.
Floral photographs can also include people and they are popular when
photographing children. Catching a young girl bending down to smell a wild
tiger lily can be an award winning photograph.
Floral photography including people can feature weddings and bridal
bouquets, maternity photography with the mothers to be laying down with
flowers beside their blossoming bellies, and babies with flowers beside them
as they lay in the crib. One of the most popular flowers to photograph is
the sunflower, often for its brilliant yellow colour and size.
Floral photography is an enjoyable past-time that captures the beauty of
nature and can be done anywhere, on a hiking trail or in your own backyard.
The variety of flowers to photograph is endless and each flower holds its
own uniqueness.
