Mountain Majesty

I captured a brilliant display of nature's beauty with my digital camera while on a stroll in Banff in August, 2005. With the Rocky Moutains and the Bow River as their backdrop, white, yellow, and purple flowers looked absolutely magnificent. This is definitely one of my favourite photos.
The sky could not have been more blue with just the odd wisp of clouds floating by. The rugged mountains, along with the tall, green spruce trees were a perfect backdrop. The brightly coloured flowers in the foreground of the photo are a great contrast to the teal coloured river directly behind them.
As soon as people look at this photograph they immediately ask where it was taken. I tell them I spent a relaxing day in Banff and was lucky enough to take it there. I spent a sunny warm August afternoon there walking, taking pictures, and just soaking up the sights and sounds. I realize the abundance of beauty in this national park and try to capture some with my camera every time I visit.
