Holiday Photography: Thanksgiving
By: Author: J Bakken
Each holiday of the year holds its own special magic. Capturing the magic is
done with the help of a camera (digital or film)
and a good eye.
Thanksgiving holidays symbolize tradition, family, and fond memories.
Whether a family has the tradition of eating grandma's home cooked turkey at
the farm every year or getting the entire family together to rake the leaves
and have a big game of football on the front lawn, all of these make for
great photographs in the family album or to display, or even to feature in a
magazine or use as a selling tool.
Popular Thanksgiving holiday photographs include a table centerpiece of a
horn of plenty full of gourds, pumpkins sitting on the front porch,
youngsters being pulled in a wagon through the pumpkin patch, mom holding
her fresh baked apple or pumpkin pie, families posing in the freshly fallen
leaves, and much more.
Thanksgiving holiday photographs can be taken inside your decorated home, on
your front steps, in your own backyard, or wherever you choose to celebrate
the holiday. Maybe you are celebrating at a lodge in the mountains or a
cabin at the park; it doesn't matter where you are, the possibilities for
great photo opportunities are endless.
Thanksgiving holiday photographs not only capture the magic of the holiday,
but also the magic of the season, and the beauty and brilliant colours that
autumn displays. They can feature the beauty of nature or the fun and frolic
of people enjoying themselves, or the creativity when we create works of
art, or any combination of these.
Thanksgiving holiday photography is an opportunity to capture gratitude,
traditions, and cherish memories. Do not let another Thanksgiving pass
without getting out your camera.
