British Columbia Destinations Landscape Photography
By: Author: J Bakken
British Columbia destinations landscape photography is a fast growing
industry. BC destination photographs are featured in brochures, travel
magazines, billboards, and numerous other places for travellers to dream
about and plan their vacations. Included in these photographs are azure
coloured lakes and skies, white sailboats on the ocean at sunset, and of
course, the majestic Rocky Mountains. British Columbia is both an all season
and world reknowned holiday destination.
Other popular British Columbia destination landscape photography includes
man made structures. These include the German style architecture in Whistler
and Kimberly, the five star hotels in Victoria, and Stanley Park and the
Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver. All of these combined are what
attract potential travellers to British Columbia locations throughout this
glorious province.
Award winning photographs of these British Columbia destinations are
featured in calendars, commercial decor, and the million dollar industry of
greeting cards and postcards. The brilliant hues and contrasting colours of
blue sky and shorelines, along with the local flora and fauna are extremely
popular for the aforementioned photographs. Sunset photographs are also
extremely popular and are featured often in calendars and on postcards.
Not only are the photographs themselves a selling feature, but the ideas and
images they bring to mind when one looks at them, are also a huge selling
factor. One instantly begins daydreaming of kayaking with Orcas in the
Pacific Ocean, or getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life
leaving the cell phones and email behind and exchanging them for the sound
of the birds singing while hiking in the mountains, or living the adventure
of heli-skiing on Blackcomb Mountain at Whistler.
It is a combination of these incredible photographs and these images in the
minds of potential travellers that actually sell British Columbia
destinations and make people book their dream vacations and turn their
dreams into reality. People envision paradise and the photographs of BC
destinations are exactly what people dream about and want to visit...they
want to be in paradise, if only for a week or two. These photographs invite
them to live their dream and travel across the province, across the country,
or across the world.
